This tastes great with steak! Combine in a medium bowl: 1/3 cup red wine vinegar 2 Tbs sugar 1 Tbs grenadine (optional) 1 Tbs cracked black peppercorns Add and let marinate for 2 hours: 2 red onions, cut into 1/4 inch-thick slices and separated into rings Serve immediately. This pickle will keep, covered and refrigerated, for up to 2 days.
